Vietnam: Typhoon Kajiki Floods Streets of Hanoi, Halts Traffic

Typhoon Kajiki struck northern and central Vietnam, causing at least four deaths, multiple injuries, and extensive damage. Heavy rains and strong winds flooded streets in Hanoi, paralyzed traffic, and damaged thousands of homes and hectares of crops across Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Thai Nguyen, Phu Tho, and Quang Tri provinces. Power outages affected thousands as electricity poles fell, and emergency services were deployed to assist residents and reinforce flood defenses. Flooding and landslide risks remain high, with authorities issuing alerts and evacuation plans in low-lying areas.
